"Up The Creek" to go into Reprint

For those of you who missed out when 'Up The Creek' was first published now is your chance to re-live all those happy times and memories experienced at Stonehouse.

With maps and engravings of the original buildings, pictures of 19th Cent. nurses, the hardships and bombings of the 2nd World War, right up to the closing date (1995), with pictures of the staff at work and play in the 70's 80's and 90's.

And as a special bonus, the final photograph of all the staff mustered in front of the magnificent Victorian gates is included. What's happened in the last 20 years?, well this too has now been documented and a new section added to the book.

Sigh with nostalgia when you see the central walkway again, exclaim out loud when you see what happened to the bombed out J Block.
What happened to Casualty?, is there someone living in the mortuary? how much will an apartment in F Block cost you.
All this with photographs to illustrate, are now included.

The book will be on sale at the Grand Garden Fete on 23rd May. I hope to see you.

PS. I have also come across some 50 plus phots of staff, taken at various functions during the 80's and 90;s. Which I will put up on display.

The book is currently with printers so I do not know exactly what cost will be but I imagine £10. plus £1.50p post and packaging.

Once I get the price and books off the printers,

I will put my address up and if you send me a cheque for probably £11.50p,
I will put a copy in the post.

Thanks for all the interest on FB,  I will keep you posted when I get the books.

Graham Evans.
