It is with deep regret and much sadness i have to report the sudden death of former
POMA Stephen Sharpe.
Steve had for nearly 30 years suffered PTSD.
He was receiving treatment and seemed to be making progress.
Steve went missing Tuesday afternoon after a lovely pre birthday lunch with his partner
Sally Payne.
Sadly he was found dead the following morning (his birthday)
It appears the demons had won,he had taken his own life.
Steve spent many years serving with the Royal Marines.Later he returned to the RN to complete nursing training.
He was one of the most professional and sincere people i have ever worked with.
He was also a very good friend.
He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
During his short time on this earth he helped a lot of people.
Rest In Peace Stephen,no more demons, just pleasant dreams.
